Where culture heals.

Welcome to Kulcha Klub

Kulcha Klub is a Detroit-based collective of artists utterly devoted to spirituality, community healing, and cultural expression.Founded by community pillar Sandurah Khzouz and collaborators, we are constantly creating in a carousel of mediums, like paint, fiber, food, and design. Rooted in the Mexicantown of Southwest Detroit, we are constantly learning about ancestry, mysticism, and resistance through public events, workshops, and poetic storytelling...and soon a book club.Kulcha Klub fosters a supportive space for artists—especially those navigating neurodivergence, displacement, or spiritual transformation—to connect, collaborate, and build a sustainable, liberatory creative life.

What We Do

Kulcha Klub rocks with artists at all stages of their careers. We host workshops, exhibitions, and throw fabulous parties to bring together multi-generational communities across the Detroit metro area. We incubate artists through providing studio space and professional services such as photography, writing, and PR.

Art Residencies

Rest is sacred. Creation is ritual.
Kulcha Klub hosts short-term artist residencies in Detroit for BIPOC creatives exploring craft, healing, and liberation. We provide space to dream, make, and reconnect with ancestral practices.
Residencies are offered on a sliding scale, with options for childcare and collaborative teaching opportunities.
We prioritize artists working outside the mainstream—those stitching spirit into their work.

Kulinary Experiences

More than a meal.Kulinary is where food becomes storytelling, memory, and resistance. We host pop-up dinners, cook-ins, and tasting sessions featuring diasporic dishes, foraged flavors, and intergenerational recipes.Rooted in Middle Eastern, Latino, African, and Indigenous traditions, our tables are a place to gather, remember, and nourish the future.

Art Workshops

Make with meaning. Our workshops are intimate, hands-on sessions where art meets roots, resistance, and uncensored self-expression. From embroidery and printmaking to collage and ritual objects, we create space for learning, healing, and storytelling through craft.Open to all skill levels. Come as you are—leave with something real.

Y'Art Sale

Art meets yard. Come thru. Our seasonal Y’Art Sales are open-air pop-ups where local artists and makers share their work in a chill, communal space. Prints, textiles, zines, herbal blends, jewelry, and more—made with heart and rooted in culture.Support living artists. Build local economies. Find your next treasure.
